Can a child travel alone on your website? Can I book a reservation for an unaccompanied minor?

A child under the age of 18 traveling alone is considered an unaccompanied minor. Each airline has its own rules and regulations regarding the reservations for unaccompanied minors. For reservations for unaccompanied minors, kindly contact us at support@easeairvacations.com.

What are the rules for traveling with an infant or toddler under the age of 2?

For Domestic Travel: An infant is defined as a child aged 0-24 months. You may travel with an infant in your lap at no additional charge. However, for added comfort and safety during the flight, most airlines recommend purchasing a separate seat for the infant. If an infant occupies a seat, they will be subject to the full adult fare. You may be required to provide proof of age (such as a birth certificate or passport) at the airport for any children.

Please visit the airline's website for specific rules and regulations regarding child safety seats, strollers, and bassinets. Each airline has its own policies and guidelines that provide important information for traveling with infants and toddlers.

For International Travel: Each infant, whether traveling in lap or in a separate seat, requires a separate ticket. Airlines may offer discounted fares for infants, depending on the destination. Please be aware that most infant tickets purchased through our website for international travel will require a paper ticket. A shipping fee of $19 applies for shipments within the USA, while a fee of $38 is applicable for shipments to Canada. Tickets can only be shipped to the billing address.

You can also book and purchase the infant ticket directly from the airline, ensuring you provide the accompanying adult's ticket information. It's important to note that different airlines have varying rules and regulations regarding infants. We strongly recommend visiting the airline's website for their specific policies and guidelines.

When an adult is traveling with two infants, they may only hold one infant in their lap. An additional seat must be purchased at the adult fare for the second infant. The maximum number of infants allowed per adult is two. For airport security information regarding traveling with infants and children, please visit the TSA website at: TSA - Traveling with Children.

How do I contact the airlines?

To reach the airlines, please visit our Airline Contact page, where you'll find the email support@easeairvacations.com, along with a comprehensive list of worldwide airlines. Additionally, you can visit the airline's official website for further assistance.

Why is a flight or fare shown and then not available when I attempt to book it?

Airline inventory is subject to frequent changes, which means airfares can fluctuate rapidly. It is possible that between the time you select a flight option and when you attempt to confirm your reservation, the fares may have changed, resulting in the flight becoming unavailable. We recommend contacting our Help Desk at support@easeairvacations.com for assistance with booking your travel.

Why did I receive a "Validation Error" when trying to book?

If you receive a "Validation Error," it indicates that the airline is unable to confirm the requested flight at the listed fare, as airline inventory changes frequently. For assistance, please contact support@easeairvacations.com to resolve the issue and book your flight.

How do I cancel my reservation?

We offer special fares, most of which are non-refundable. To cancel your reservation, please contact support@easeairvacations.com. Our representatives will review the airline's penalties and rules regarding your specific ticket.

Once you decide to cancel the reservation, you are bound by the "Terms and Conditions" of cancellation set forth by the respective airline. Please make sure to review these terms carefully before proceeding with your cancellation.

How can I choose or modify my seat assignment?

Seat numbers are automatically assigned once your reservation is ticketed for applicable flights. To change or select your seat assignments, please email support@easeairvacations.com, or you may contact the airline directly. For a list of worldwide airline contact numbers, please visit the Airline Contact page.

How can I request a special meal?

When booking your reservation, there will be an option to request a special meal. This request will be forwarded to the airline and applied to all relevant flights. Please note that while we submit your meal preference to the airline, we cannot guarantee that it will be fulfilled.

If you need to change your meal selection, you may contact the airline directly. You can find global airline contact numbers on the Airline Contact page.

Can I use an airline coupon or voucher online?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept airline vouchers or coupons as partial or full payment for ticket purchases on our website. We recommend contacting the issuing airline directly for assistance. For a list of global airline phone numbers, please visit the Airline Contact page.

Can I hold a reservation?

Due to airline regulations, we are unable to hold reservations. To secure the discounted fare, it is essential to purchase your tickets immediately. Please note that airfares are not guaranteed until the tickets are issued, and the fare will expire if the reservation is not confirmed and ticketed promptly.

Is there a discount on infant or child fare?

For most domestic flights within the U.S., airlines typically do not provide discounts for children and will charge the full fare. However, for international travel, child and infant fares can vary by airline, and some may offer discounts. It's recommended to check with the specific airline for their policies regarding child and infant fares.

  1. Payment Process
Payment Process for Travel Products

To purchase travel products such as air tickets, insurance, and hotels online, you must use a valid credit or debit card issued in the US or Canada. While debit cards are accepted, they often have low daily limits, which may lead to payment rejections, such as "Credit Card Declined." We accept major credit cards, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Diners Club. If you do not possess a valid credit card, online purchases will not be possible. Only one card can be used per reservation.

To complete your purchase, you will need to enter your credit card information, which will be validated before a ticket or confirmation is issued. If the credit card information you provide is invalid, you will receive an error message, and an email will be sent to the address you provided, indicating that the credit card has been declined. To retain your reservation, you must email support@easeairvacations.com and provide valid credit card details within 24 hours of making the reservation, or the reservation may be canceled. Please note that airlines may reclaim seats from un-ticketed reservations without prior notice. Most credit card declines result from inaccurate information entered on your credit card form.

How do I verify that my reservation was successful?

Once your transaction is processed, we will send you a confirmation email with your booking details. You can then visit the airline's website and enter your booking code to verify your reservation details. If you encounter any issues, you can contact support@easeairvacations.com for assistance.

How Do I Travel with an Electronic Ticket?

Electronic tickets (e-tickets) provide a convenient travel experience by eliminating the concern of losing or having your paper tickets stolen. For check-in at the airport, you will need to carry a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport.

Many airlines offer online check-in and allow you to print your boarding pass up to 24 hours before your flight. It is important to have a printed boarding pass to proceed through security; if you do not have one, visit the airline ticket counter before proceeding to the security checkpoint.

We recommend confirming your flights directly with the airline at least 72 hours prior to departure.

Identification Requirements for Children at the Airport

For domestic travel within the U.S., children under the age of 18 do not need identification. However, the adults accompanying them at both the departure and arrival airports must present valid identification. While airlines typically do not specify what identification is required for the adult dropping off or picking up the child, a standard photo ID used for airline travel, such as a driver’s license or passport, along with a valid birth certificate, should be sufficient.

If a child is traveling unaccompanied on an international flight, there may be additional requirements, such as passports and visas. Depending on the situation, further documentation may be necessary to allow a child to leave the departure country or enter the destination country. It is recommended to consult the relevant authorities for each country involved to ensure compliance with all regulations.

Guidelines for Unaccompanied Minors Traveling Alone

Most airlines allow unaccompanied children of certain ages to fly, but typically with several restrictions. Policies vary from airline to airline, so we suggest contacting us for help or making direct reservations with the airline regarding unaccompanied minors.

In the U.S., there are no clear regulatory guidelines for unaccompanied minors, making it essential to fully understand the specific policies of the airline before making a reservation.

Reasons for Changing Airports

Itineraries may occasionally require an airport transfer if specific airlines do not operate flights to your desired destination between particular airports, like EWR and JFK in New York City. The cost of changing airports is the responsibility of the traveler, who must collect their luggage and transfer to the next airport to check in with the following airline. Typically, itineraries requiring switching airports are priced lower, making this option available on the website.

Check-In Procedures for Domestic and International Flights

Understanding the Requirements for Smooth Travel

When packing, please keep in mind that new regulations allow only one standard-size carry-on bag and one personal item, such as a purse, laptop, small backpack, or briefcase.

The Transportation Security Administration advises travelers not to lock their checked luggage. If your bag is locked and needs inspection, security will remove the locks. New security rules require customers with checked baggage to fly on the same flight as their bags. Be sure your name and contact details are on the outside and inside of each bag.

For domestic flights, it is recommended to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before departure if checking bags. If you only have carry-on luggage, aim to arrive 60 minutes before departure. For international flights, arriving at least two hours before departure is advised. Passengers will need their passports for international travel.

Keep your government-issued photo ID easily accessible, along with a printed itinerary if traveling with an electronic ticket. As per regulations, children under 18 do not need a photo ID on domestic flights as long as the accompanying adult certifies their identity.

It is advised to reconfirm your flights directly with the airline before departure to ensure there are no last-minute changes to your schedule.

If you wish to reconfirm your flights or have any questions about a particular airline's policies, please contact the airlines directly.

Passport Requirements for U.S. Citizens Traveling to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean

Essential Information for Smooth International Travel

Most U.S. citizens must use a U.S. passport to travel internationally and return to the United States. A passport is an internationally recognized travel document that verifies your identity and citizenship. Only the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Embassies and Consulates can issue or verify U.S. passports.

Most foreign countries require a valid passport to enter and exit. Some may allow entry with just a birth certificate or a birth certificate and driver’s license, but all persons traveling by air must present a valid passport to return to the U.S.

If traveling by land or sea, you must provide evidence of both U.S. citizenship and identity, such as a driver's license and birth certificate, when reentering the U.S. For many land or sea trips, the new U.S. passport card can be used instead of the standard passport book.

Changes in passport rules were made following recommendations from the Department of Homeland Security, requiring passports for travelers returning to the U.S. by air from Canada and Mexico. Passports are also required from U.S. citizens crossing the Mexican and Canadian borders by land or sea.

Some Caribbean islands are U.S. territories, and you do not need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands by land or air. Guam, U.S. Samoa, Palau, and other Micronesian islands are also U.S. territories.

To travel to and from U.S. territories in the Caribbean from the mainland by air, you will need official government-issued photo ID, such as a current driver’s license or passport, or two forms of non-photo ID, one of which must be state-issued. Proof of U.S. citizenship, like a birth certificate, may help when leaving the U.S. Virgin Islands for the mainland.

For children, some countries require proof of relationship to the child and consent from any non-accompanying parent(s) to prevent child abductions. Visit the appropriate resources for details about your destination.

Some countries require that a traveler’s passport be valid for at least six months beyond the trip dates. Contact the embassy of your destination country for more information.

Passport, visa, and health requirements vary by country. Be sure to gather all the necessary information well ahead of your trip. Passports are required for all U.S. citizens traveling to or from the U.S. via air, including trips to or from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and Bermuda, except for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Allow ample time for passport processing, and seek expedited processing if needed for urgent travel.

Staying Informed on Airport Delays and International Travel Preparations

Essential Resources for Smooth Travel Planning

To find information on current airport delays, check the official website of the airport you are traveling to or from, or use flight tracking applications and websites. Many airlines also offer real-time updates on their websites or customer service channels.

For planning an international trip, refer to official government resources for travel warnings and recommendations. For pre-trip vaccinations, health warnings, and travel health tips, consult the CDC. They provide guidance through their international traveler's hotline and health information webpage.

Essential Travel Resources: International Trip Planning and Embassy Assistance

Navigating Your Travel Needs and Consular Support

For information on planning and preparing for an international trip, gather the resources and guidelines that will ensure a smooth journey.

U.S. embassies are located in over 160 capital cities worldwide, and each embassy has a consular section to assist citizens. Consular officers provide critical support in various situations, including issuing visas to foreign nationals and helping U.S. citizens with passport replacements. If your passport is lost or stolen, a consular officer can issue a replacement, often quickly. In the event of theft, report it to local authorities and obtain a police report.

If you fall ill while abroad, consular officers can help you find medical professionals and specialists. They can also assist in emergencies, ensuring your family is informed, if desired. Should you lose all your money, consular officers can assist in arranging for funds from family or employers. In family emergencies, relatives can contact the appropriate authorities to relay messages about your safety.

If you are arrested, you can request that the authorities inform a U.S. consul. While consuls cannot secure your release, they can provide a list of local attorneys and ensure you are treated fairly. In case of an American's death abroad, consular officers will notify the family and assist with arrangements for handling the remains. If you are caught in a natural disaster or civil unrest, informing your family of your safety is crucial, and consuls will prioritize aiding Americans in danger.

Be prepared, as U.S. officials are committed to assisting you even in challenging situations.

Why You Should Consider Registering Your Travels

Registering your trip with the U.S. State Department is a smart decision. In an emergency, such as a natural disaster, terrorism, or civil unrest, your nearest U.S. embassy will be able to locate you and provide essential support.
